Stuff of Dreams is a rural touring theatre company based in South Norfolk. For the last seven years we have roamed East Anglia telling stories from the region’s history, often performing them in the places where they happened. We make history live! In the Summer we also perform popular plays in beautiful outdoor locations, which delight audiences with their joyful spontaneity. We may be small but dream big and believe passionately in what we do.
Please take a look around our website, see the sort of things we’ve done and what we are doing next. Our tenth show ‘An Honest Gentleman’, is a musical play about the life and times of Norfolk highwayman Thomas Easter. It opens at the end of March and will tour until the end of May this year. Then, in June our very popular production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ returns for an extended tour accompanied by our new version of Oscar Wilde’s much loved classic ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’. Finally, in August we continue our collaboration with the National Trust to bring to life the story of the woman who was at the heart of the discovery of the Sutton Hoo treasure. ‘Edith – In the Beginning’, by Karen Forbes will premiere at Mrs Pretty’s former home at Sutton Hoo, an event that promises to be a very special theatrical experience.
