Stuff of Dreams Theatre Company are delighted to announce that they have been successful in gaining Arts Council England funding to support their latest production, An Honest Gentleman.
The Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant scheme, a newprogramme aimed at supporting arts, museums and libraries projects, is funded by the National Lottery. The fundis designed to support thousands of individual artists, community and cultural organisationsacross England.
This is Stuff of Dreams Theatre Company’s fourth successful Arts Council England application. This latest investment will help the company to develop An Honest Gentlemanfor touring purposes, take the production to a wider geographical area, visit some exciting new venues, and engage with new audiences.
Artistic Director, Cordelia Spence said; “We are absolutely thrilled and very grateful to have been awarded this grant from Arts Council England. We know that gaining financial support from funding bodies is a competitive business. So, receiving this investment is a real badge of honour, which we wear with pride. It shows that Arts Council England regard our work as being of high-quality and want us to share our theatre productions with as wide a range of people as possible.”
The Arts Council Grant will help support Stuff of Dreams to tour An Honest Gentleman, a musical play telling the story of East Anglian highwayman Thomas Easter, to twelve venues across the East of England between March 29th – May 24th.
